Service Projects

Service Projects abound at Honey Creek so consider us for your Mission Trips, and/or Boy and Girl Scout projects. Below is a sample list of current projects, but we are here to help you design a project around the time set aside for service, the age and skills of your group.

If your church would prefer, we also have projects that must be done by professionals and we would be honored to have your church or group adopt a project. The would entail raising the funds at your home church. This would include the joy of helping alongside professionals when you can on the actual labor and a dedication ceremony when the project is completed plus a plaque of appreciation mounted on or near the project.

Mary House	strip carpet
Martha House	Take up glued down linoleum lay linoleum
Freshwater Lake	Clear around the edge of the lake - if not all, then a side of the lake
Labyrinth rebuilt	Uncover the rocks and find rocks to replace missing labyrinth rocks
Trails in maritime forest	Create map using GPS system Plot distances and record on map Create arrows with distances and reflectors and place along trail Create a scavenger hunt that teaches compass reading & tree identification
Schussler House	Build walkway out into the marsh behind Schussler to protect marsh from further damage as we increase numbers of students walking out there.
Dorms	Replace dry rot on outside of dorms Repaint interior or exterior
Landscape	Clear brush from around trees on property
Dock	Gird up the old dock platform Take out old lift house on dock
